Creative Arts

The creative arts unlock learning, confidence, and leadership in youth.  Dance classes are offered for ages 5-18.  The Tribe, our advanced dance classes, offer a more technical dance experience with an emphasis on leadership development, spiritual growth, and intentional discipleship.

SHINE

Mentorship is vital to meeting the unique needs of system-impacted youth.  SHINE Mentorship strengthens girls' sense of self, healthy relationships, goal setting, and knowledge in order to build pathways to thriving lives! We foster life-long empowerment, confidence, and leadership with girls ages 9-15, and we aim to prevent girls from ever experiencing exploitation or trafficking.  Learn More

Ignite

Ignite offers a “third space” for youth to build community, process each week, pray together, study the Bible, and strengthen healthy relationships.  This weekly youth group serves middle school and high school students, including both boys and girls.

Summer Fun

Consistency is key in working with youth and we keep the momentum going with field trips, camps, service projects, and community-based arts classes. Summer is the best time of year building relationships and developing community among students and the BJM team!

Families

The Tenderloin has the highest concentration of families in San Francisco. We offer opportunies to families to connect with resources including Brave Space groups for moms, La Familia Bible Study, the Brighter Futures Benevolence Fund, and partnerships with local organizations. Learn More

EdenMade

Women in the adult entertainment industry are best supported through encouraging relationships and connection to practical resources. Monthly outreaches create connection that is intentionally continued outside of the club.

Operations

Administrative operations serve as the backbone of our ministry, offering resources and support to each of our programs, and to the broader BJM community of supporters, donors, and volunteers, as well.

Human Resources

We believe that each person is more important than what he or she can do. Our HR team emphasizes stewarding the resource that each person is intrinsically. Are you interested in joining staff? We have many opportunities available. Learn More.

Azul - Wild Flour

Azul is a leadership development program for young adults. Wild Flour pizza and calzone pop-up events serve as bridge between childhood instability, holistic healing, and development for system-impacted young people. In addition to workforce development and hands-on experience, young people in the program are supported with both practical resourcing and in-depth mentoring to grow, heal, and articulate their next step goals and vision.  Learn more

Youth Apprenticeships

We provide opportunities for girls who have grown up attending our ministries to give back and serve their community. With direct support from our BJM team, girls have part-time, paid opportunities to lead dance classes, support existing BJM ministries, and to creatively lead new initiatives. In these apprenticeships, they are mentored in tangible skills and developed as leaders throughout their school year.

Leadership Development Intensive

In our LDI, young women gain hands-on experience balancing the priorities of multiple ministries and departments in a rapidly growing organization impacting the lives of women, girls, and families. By working with our BJM team and with coaching from staff, our participants gain experience and develop fundamental leadership skills in an urban ministry context through meaningful, ministry-driven work and non-profit management. Learn More.

Church & Community Collaboration

Collaboration is one of our core values. We believe in the power of collective impact and supporting one another in community. So how can we serve you? From teaching & speaking opportunities, to service projects, and volunteering at events, we love to work together for brighter futures for everyone! Request a Speaker
