The Future is Still Bright: Why This Moment Matters
We are living in urgent days. The world feels heavy with conflict, division, and uncertainty. It often feels like shadows crowding out every flicker of light. But Scripture tells us a deeper truth: “The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned” (Isaiah 9:2). That light is Jesus, the Hope of the world. Over the last few months and as we look forward, this is the truth we have been clinging to as a community.
Because here’s the good news: the light is still shining. The future is still bright.
No amount of darkness can overcome it (John 1:5). This Advent season, as we remember the child born to us, the Prince of Peace, we’re reminded that God’s Kingdom is breaking in, oftentimes in the most unlikely of places, like the heart of the Tenderloin in San Francisco.
Here at Because Justice Matters, we witness this marvelous light pierce the darkness every day.
Women stepping into hope and out of isolation.
Girls choosing freedom over generational bondage.
Families gathering to worship.
The next generation walking in God-given identity and purpose.
These are seeds of the Kingdom of God on Earth—seeds that will bear fruit for generations to come.
And now more than ever, we need to sow generously. This is the moment to give not just out of comfort, but with bold faith that God multiplies every act of generosity. When you give this year-end, you are planting into a future that cannot be shaken: a future marked by peace, justice, joy, and love.
Now is the time. The light still shines. The future is still bright. Let’s build together. Will you join us? GIVE TODAY
