Deep Roots, New Shoots.
18 years of faithful presence. A season of nurturing what God is growing next in San Francisco.
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
Planted. Rooted. Growing.
Planted in the Tenderloin
BJM began walking alongside women and girls in the Tenderloin, offering steadfast presence, restorative care, and creative healing.
Standing on our own
This year BJM became an independent 501(c)(3). Same people, same neighborhood, same calling.
Growing what God has planted
We’re praying and planning toward deeper care for women, girls, and families in 2027.

A Note from Our Director
EDIT (draft): Eighteen years ago, Because Justice Matters began with a prayer and a deep sense of call to the women and girls of the Tenderloin. Since then, we have witnessed lives transformed, dignity restored, and roots growing deep.
EDIT (draft): This year we stepped forward as an independent 501(c)(3). As we look toward 2027, we sense God inviting us into a season of new shoots. Share one or two specific things you're dreaming toward here.
EDIT (draft): Your year-end gift helps ground those roots and nurture what comes next. Thank you for walking faithfully alongside our community.
