The Well – Tenderloin Women’s Center

Since January 2012 we have had a vision to open a women’s center in the Tenderloin neighborhood. The vision of the center is to provide a physical location for the programs and services that BJM offers women and their families, fostering a deeper sense of community and enabling us to expand our work and increase our relationships and connections.

We are thrilled that 2013 was the year to see this dream become a reality! Our new space has provided a beautiful location for our existing work, while also enabling us to expand and launch new programs.

The Well is a place of community, healing and restoration. It is a meeting place for women and children. Offering a spacious dance studio, children’s reading corner, art studio and lounge area, it is the central hub for the work of Because Justice Matters in the Tenderloin neighborhood.
