Because you're not an average person,
this is not your average social!
On June 1st, we’re planning something special for you, something joyful and uplifting.
The theme of this year’s summer social is CREATED, reminding us of our origin as a people designed by God to co-create and actively participate in His vision for transformation.
Celebrate the diverse ways that creativity builds community.
Enjoy an amazing evening of meaningful connection, fun and even some surprises! Savor inspired culinary delights, hosted wine and beer, while experiencing a free-flowing program of short performances including dance, music, and spoken word, by local artists and some special BJM participants.
Hear uplifting testimonies from women and girls whose lives are being transformed through your partnership with BJM. The event is conveniently located South of Market at the SOMArts Cultural Center, a vibrant exhibit space and theater at 934 Brannan St.
In addition to being a great way to connect with your community in a memorable, meaningful way, the Created Summer Social is BJM’s strategic fundraiser for 2017. Proceeds support vitally needed programs at The Well, BJM’s center for women and girls in the Tenderloin. These diverse programs include dance classes and mentorship for girls, ESL for Arabic-speaking women, Mother’s Brunch, Nail Day, Chit Chat Café and so much more!
Please purchase your tickets today and get this memorable night on your calendar. Share this link and invite friends, co-workers, family and community group members to the perfect after-work social for a great cause. But do it quick, because......
Ticket sales close on May 26th, or when sold out.

INVEST IN TRANSFORMATION
Partner with Because Justice Matters (BJM) to break the cycle of exploitation and to ease the challenges associated with homelessness, poverty, and isolation. Through ongoing outreach, education, and community-building programs, BJM makes a positive impact on the lives of women and girls in the inner city, whose unique needs are often unseen and unmet.
Your support makes life-giving opportunities a reality. Teaching ESL classes for Arabic-speaking women, building self-esteem through dance and art therapy, providing crisis intervention and small healing groups are just a few of the ways your investment in BJM restores and empowers women and girls.
